Scout shows only what you see: the lobby's players (they're on the loading screen), your score and the minimap. An enemy in the fog is gone for Scout too. Scout writes nothing to the game's memory and doesn't inject into it; it only reads. The shop tab goes in as an ordinary game mod. Statlocker Companion and other Deadlock helpers work the same way.

No. We make Scout ourselves, Valve has nothing to do with it. Deadlock belongs to Valve Corporation.

So your player ratings, builds and history are with you on any computer, and a subscription can't be handed out to friends.

You type your password only on Steam's own page. Steam gives us just your public Steam ID: no password and no access to the account.

An account works on one computer at a time. Sign in on a second computer and Scout signs out on the first by itself.

Your e-mail (if you sign in with it), Steam ID, plan, the ratings, builds and match history you sync, and a log of sign-ins to protect the account. You can delete all of it in your account.

The file isn't digitally signed yet, so SmartScreen doesn't know it. Press “More info”, then “Run anyway”.

Scout puts it in on its first start. If Deadlock was running then, restart the game.

Download and run the new installer: it closes Scout and replaces the program. Ratings, settings and sign-in stay.

Windows Settings, “Apps”, Deadlock Scout, “Uninstall”. Your data stays in %LOCALAPPDATA%\DeadlockScout; delete that folder by hand if you want.
